Chino, 7-year-old German shepherd and Belgian Malinois mix, helped deputies capture former pro wrestler Brian McGhee on Wednesday in connection with a fatal stabbing a week earlier.

McGhee led deputies on a pursuit north on Interstate 275, crashed his vehicle, and refused to surrender. Chino jumped into the open door and pinned McGhee by the chest, reports the Tampa Tribune.

Chino joined the sheriff's office in 2008 with a grant from two local businesses. He worked fugitive apprehension and bomb detection missions with Deputy Jason Allen.
