A Fulton County (Ga.) Police officer was pulled out of a wrecked cruiser by a citizen who witnessed a drunk driver strike the cruiser head on and trap the officer.
Michael Ashford was riding his bicycle Sunday night, when he saw a black SUV strike the officer's cruiser. Ashford headed to the burning patrol car and kicked out the passenger side window. Officer Matthew Williams was trapped in the seat by his seatbelt.
Ashford yanked open the door and pulled the officer to safety after the officer freed himself from the seatbelt. Ashford dragged the officer about 30 feet, when the car exploded and ammunition began to fire from inside the vehicle, reports WSB-TV.
