The operator of a sober living home allegedly struck a Torrance pedestrian while twice the legal limit and continued to drive drunk for about two miles before her arrest.

Sherri Lynn Wilkins, 51, of Torrance, panicked when she struck the man at 11:25 p.m. Saturday on Torrance Boulevard near Madrid Avenue, reports the Daily Breeze.

Wilkins allegedly struck 31-year-old Phillip Moreno and continued to drive with the dying man stuck in the windshield of her Mitsubishi Eclipse. A citizen told her to stop and took away her keys.
