VIDEO: Evidence-Planting Claim In Texas

The FBI agreed Monday to enhance patrol-car video footage from a 2009 arrest involving a man who accused two El Paso (Texas) Police officers of planting cocaine on him.

The video footage is the central piece of evidence in the trial of Ernesto Burciaga, a 33-year-old arrested on Dec. 24, 2009 after officers allegedly saw him throw a bag of cocaine during a traffic stop.

Burciaga's attorney won a continuance Monday to allow the FBI to enhance the video to better clarify what happened. The enhancement process could take several weeks, reports KFOX14.

In the 14-minute video, Officers Victor Almanza and Benito Madrid can be seen pulling over Burciaga, detaining him, and searching his vehicle.
