The Dallas Police Department transferred one of its sergeants to night jail duty, after two lesbian female officers accused him of making inappropriate comments about the Chick-fil-A controversy.

Sgt. Mark Johnson, a 12-year-veteran, allegedly made the comments on Aug. 1, deemed national Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee who urged customers to support the franchise after its president faced criticism for opposing gay marriage.

The sergeant made the comments in the detail room, where officers are briefed before going out on patrol, reports the Dallas Morning News.
