Stratham (N.H.) Police Officer Charles Law was awarded the Medal of Valor Monday for saving two officers wounded in a hail of gunfire in Greenland in April.
Officer Law responded to the scene of the shooting at 6:22 p.m. on April 12 and was told that numerous officers were shot and "pinned down by gunfire," reports the Union Leader.
Greenland Police Chief Michael Maloney was killed in the shooting, after he dragged a wounded Newmarket detective to safety.
Officer Law drove his cruiser to the wounded officers, loaded them in the vehicle, and brought them to safety.
