Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger provided a K-9 training grant to the Millersville (Tenn.) Police Department on behalf of the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation at the Giving Back Fund.

The grant will help the agency start its K-9 unit by purchasing its first narcotics dog. Private trainer Nashville K-9 has committed to train the dog and provide a  handler at no charge. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is also donating equipment to properly outfit Millersville PD's first K-9 vehicle.

During the 2012-13 NFL season, the foundation will be distributing grants to K-9 units of police and fire departments in the cities and surrounding communities of each regular season away game for the Steelers.
