Desmond John Moses, 55, apparently blamed the neighbors, who were relatives of his landlord, who had served him with an eviction notice. Moses was a security guard and registered owner of a .38-caliber handgun, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Moses opened fire on the family at about 4 a.m. at their West 99th Street home. Two of his victims died from their wounds. His residence was on fire shortly after the shooting.
