Two Anchorage (Alaska) PD police officers disarmed a suspect who attacked them with a knife during a pat-down search and took the man into custody, reports the Alaska Dispatch.

Officers Keo Fujimoto and Nathan Keays responded to a disturbance call in Midtown early Monday and located 47-year-old Edward Thompson. The officers began a pat-down search and Thompson spun around and drew a knife.

Thompson stabbed Officer Fujimoto in the leg and sliced Officer Keays' vest. Officer Fujimoto struck Thompson's hand with his baton, ending the struggle.
