Two Greene County (Ind.) Sheriff's deputies responding to a domestic-dispute call were wounded by a suspect who charged them with a shotgun on Wednesday.

Deputies James O'Malley and Brad Deckard both suffered gunshot wounds, after arriving at the Owensburg residence of 25-year-old Michael Lane Jr. Following the shootout, the wounded deputies were taken away in an ambulance. Other deputies then established a perimeter around the home.

The Indiana State Police Emergency Response Section (ERS) was called to the scene. The ERS team then utilized the Indiana State Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team's robot to enter the residence, where it found Lane Jr. deceased.

Lane was apparently high on drugs at the time, reports WBIW.
