The Maricopa County (Ariz.) Sheriff's Office has given the family of a deputy killed responding to a burglary call a check for $64,000.

The Maricopa County (Ariz.) Sheriff's Office has given the family of a deputy killed responding to a burglary call a check for $64,000, reports KTAR.

Deputy William Coleman, a 20-year veteran, was fatally shot Jan. 8 by Drew Maras, while investigating a robbery at a health-care facility. Earlier in the day, Maras shot a New Hampshire couple near Sedona. Maras was killed in the shootout with deputies.
