INEX/ZAMIR Integrates ALPR With Tyco Access Control System

INEX/ZAMIR and Tyco's Software House have reached an agreement to allow integration of the Insignia Automatic License Plate Recognition system with the C-CURE 9000 access control system.

INEX/ZAMIR and Tyco's Software House have reached an agreement to allow integration of the Insignia Automatic License Plate Recognition system with the C-CURE 9000 access control system, according to a release.

The Insignia system will now interface with C-CURE 9000, allowing the system to use a vehicle's license plate to grant or deny access to a facility.

With the direct interface, real-time vehicle events can be created and sent to the C-CURE 9000 system. This provides the user multiple levels of management for collected ALPR plate data. The use also has the ability to provide vehicle access control alongside the C-CURE 9000 card-based access system. Command, control, and administration from the C-CURE 9000 console gives the ALPR system the ability to function as a card reader.

"Fully automated ALPR credentialing eliminates many time-consuming problems associated with rapid vehicle identification and access, while still maintaining a comprehensive level of facility security," said Chuck Bartolomeo, INEX/ZAMIR'S director of reseller sales, in a release. "A typical system option could include instant vehicle-of-interest notification and alerting."
