ELSAG's GSA Contract Helps LE Agencies Acquire ALPR Technology

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) awarded ELSAG North America a contract that allows law enforcement agencies to more easily acquire Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) technology.

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) awarded ELSAG North America a contract that allows law enforcement agencies to more easily acquire Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) technology, according to the company.

The contract allows the listing of ELSAG products on the GSA's government procurement website. ELSAG technology can be acquired more quickly and at discounted pricing.

Designated as a Schedule 84 contract, ELSAG's contract GS07F0004Y streamlines purchasing for state, local, and federal purchasers, by reducing the need to structure separate state procurement contracts.

"It is critical that we make our automatic license plate readers as easy to purchase and install as possible for law enforcement agencies at all levels," said Mark Windover, ELSAG's chief executive. "Our technology helps keep communities and officers safer than ever before while removing unlawful citizens from our roads faster than ever."
