The FBI has launched a civil rights probe into the fatal officer-involved shooting of an unarmed Pasadena, Calif., teenager by officers who were told he was an armed robbery suspect.

The FBI has launched a civil rights probe into the fatal officer-involved shooting of an unarmed Pasadena, Calif., teenager by officers who were told he was an armed robbery suspect, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Kendrec McDade, 19, was shot by two Pasadena Police officers on March 24 shortly after they took the report of an armed robbery near Orange Grove Boulevard.

Pasadena officers arrested Oscar Carrillo and booked him on suspicion of manslaughter, after Carrillo told a dispatcher he was robbed at gunpoint.
