Two Franklin County (Kan.) Sheriff's deputies rescued a man from a car that was stuck and sinking in a pond.

At 11:23 a.m. Saturday, Franklin County Sheriff's Deputy Tim Jones and K9 Deputy Carl Bentley responded to Interstate 35 for a vehicle that had been involved in a wreck with a tractor trailer and then left the scene. The vehicle continued south on I-35 when it left the roadway and drove through several fences located at 2405 Kentucky Road. The vehicle stopped in a pond on the property.

Deputy Bentley used a baton to smash the driver's side window and, with the help of Deputy Jones, pull the man to safety.
