VIDEO: Plainclothes Cop Scuffles with Iowa Woman

Sioux City's police chief has said two of his officers followed proper procedure during the forceful arrest of a local woman who ignored their orders and resisted.

Sioux City (Iowa) Police Chief Dan Young's comments came in response to dashboard video footage showing plainclothes officer Joshua Tyler struggling with Dacosta Daniels, 34. Officer Tyler and a uniform officer eventually place Daniels under arrest.

The incident began when Officer Tyler, working a task force detail, stopped a vehicle driven by Daniels that was registered to Christopher Robinson, her fiance. Robinson was known to have a suspended license.

The incident begins with Officer Tyler questioning Daniels, and telling her not to use her cell phone. She ignores the orders of the officer, who can be seen putting Daniels in a headlock and punching her in the side, after she lunges at him.

An internal investigation cleared the officers, reports the Sioux City Journal.
