During a physical struggle with a man who had threatened to kill his family, a Shasta County (Calif.) Sheriff's deputy regained control of his service weapon and made the arrest.

Deputy Brian Jackson responded to a home in the 25000 block of Highway 44 in Millville around 8 a.m. Sunday to find Joshua Antonio David Ruja, 27, physically fighting with family members.

Ruja shook off a TASER and attacked the deputy, grabbing his sidearm. Deputy Jackson wrested it away from Ruja and eventually arrested him, reports The Record Searchlight.
