An undergraduate student at University of California, Berkeley has died after being shot by police while allegedly brandishing a gun in a computer lab.

An undergraduate student at University of California, Berkeley has died after being shot by police while allegedly brandishing a gun in a computer lab.

Campus officers confronted Christopher Nathen Elliot Travis, 32, in the computer lab of the Haas School of Business. A staff member had called police after seeing a man carrying a gun in an elevator.

Police shot Travis at about 2:22 p.m. on Tuesday, after he raised the gun and pointed it at them, reports the Associated Press.
