A year-long Internal Affairs investigation concluded that Tampa Police Officer Matthew Dolitsky had sex in his patrol car and threatened to shoot fellow squad mates when he learned of the probe, reports WTSP News-10.
Corporal Dolitsky worked on an elite unit called the Quick Uniform Attack on Drugs or the "QUAD" squad, when the department got a tip about him.
When Dolitsky found out about the IA probe, he was in the squad room with several other officers. He pulled his firearm completely out of the holster and said he would take out the IA witnesses against him. Doltisky then asked one of his colleagues, "What would you do if I shot you?"
He resigned before the department could fire him.
Despite all this, the former officer will receive his full pension, because he was not terminated or prosecuted. When he turns 46 in four years, he'll receive $27,142 a year for the rest of his life.
