A suspected burglar died Monday after he was shot while struggling with a Harris County sheriff's deputy in the back yard of a home he had broken into, reports the Houston Chronicle.

Harris County sheriff's deputy D. Warren pulled up to the home in the 18200 block of Linden Forest shortly after 11 a.m. and surprised three burglars inside the house.

Warren chased one of the burglars through the house and caught him in the back yard. The two struggled over the deputy's weapon, and deputy shot the burglar.
