Woman Convicted of Killing CHP Officer Was on Meth

A jury convicted Kaylee Weisenberg of second-degree murder and gross vehicular manslaughter on Friday in the death of a California Highway Patrol officer who had stopped to assist a disabled vehicle.

A jury convicted Kaylee Weisenberg of second-degree murder and gross vehicular manslaughter on Friday in the death of a California Highway Patrol officer who had stopped to assist a disabled vehicle.

Weisenberg, 23, crashed into and killed CHP Officer Bret Oswald while driving in San Luis Obispo County on June 27, 2010. Weisenberg was apparently heavily under the influence of methamphetamine when she crossed a double yellow line and hit the patrolman.
