Texas Cop Shot by Suicidal Man

Officer Kevin James was shot in the arm after responding to the 8:43 a.m. call. A second call came in at 8:50 a.m. reporting that two people had been shot. The officer arrived shortly afterward, and was immediately met with gunfire.

A suicidal gunman wounded three people, including a Justin (Texas) Police officer, and killed a man in an early Thursday gun battle at a residence.

The 29-year-old suspect apparently used a shotgun in the attack and died on his way to the hospital. Chief Bill Brooks tells the Fort Worth Star-Telegram his officer returned fire after coming under fire.
