Dogfighting Game Renamed, Back on Sale

In the letter sent Thursday to Google Chief Executive Officer Larry Page, Los Angeles Police Protective League President Paul M. Weber urged Google "to do the right thing and ban this game permanently."

The controversial Dog Wars mobile game has been renamed and is back up on the Android Market, triggering new calls for its permanent removal.

The Dog Wars app can be purchased under the name KG Dogfighting.

In the letter sent Thursday to Google Chief Executive Officer Larry Page, Los Angeles Police Protective League President Paul M. Weber urged Google "to do the right thing and ban this game permanently."

The Los Angeles Police Protective League had protested the initial version, which was pulled by Google from the Market.
