Detroit Cop Killer Gets Life

The 11-year-old son of Detroit Police Officer Brian Huff stood up at the sentencing hearing of his father's convicted killer and said, "I don't know why you had to take my dad away. I don't know why you had to do this. He was a nice man. He was doing his job."

The 11-year-old son of Detroit Police Officer Brian Huff stood up at the sentencing hearing of his father's convicted killer and said, "I don't know why you had to take my dad away. I don't know why you had to do this. He was a nice man. He was doing his job."

Jason Gibson, 26, was later sentenced to mandatory life in prison for the May 2010 murder of Huff, as well as the shooting of four other officers.
