Chicago Police Officer Daniel Vazquez returned to patrol this week, after recovering from serious injuries suffered while attempting to help a female driver at a crash scene.

Chicago Police Officer Daniel Vazquez returned to patrol this week, after recovering from serious injuries suffered while attempting to help a female driver at a crash scene.

In October with only a few days of training remaining, Officer Vazquez stopped along the Stevenson Expressway after a shift. He called for an ambulance, left his vehicle and was then struck.
