The FBI has taken a legion of cyber criminals and turned them into agents working for the U.S. government.

As a result, about 25% of online hackers in the U.S. are working for the feds, according to a report out of the United Kingdom.

The Guardian is citing the publisher of hacker quarterly 2600, who told the publication hackers are "susceptible to intimidation" and are usually willing to work for the feds rather than face long prison terms.
