A Westchester County, N.Y., police officer has filed a lawsuit against the liquor store he says sold alcohol to a Pace University football player he fatally shot after being struck by a vehicle driven by the player.
Pleasantville (N.Y.) PD's Officer Aaron Hess is claiming Briarcliff Wines & Liquor is responsible for the injuries he suffered in the incident involving 20-year-old Danroy Henry Jr.
Henry was fatally shot by Officer Hess the morning of Oct. 17, after he struck the officer with a vehicle. An autopsy showed Henry had a blood alcohol reading of 0.13.
