Pasco County (Fla.) Sheriff's Deputy Kelly Endricks pulled a 66-year-old man from a burning car after it crashed into a power pole early Saturday, the Tampa Tribune reports.

Dep. Endricks arrived at the scene near Scenic Drive and Fox Hollow Drive about 2:20 a.m. to find a car laying on its side and on fire. The power pole had fallen on the car and there appeared to be live wires.

Endricks broke out the rear window but because of flames at the front of the car, the deputy then smashed the sunroof and pulled the man to safety.
