A federal raid targeting the Barrio Azteca street gang led to the arrest of Columbus (N.M.) Police Chief Angelo Vega Wednesday morning, reports the El Paso Times.

The raid was led by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, and the FBI following an investigation of federal firearms and drug trafficking allegations.
