Maryland Trooper Revives Infant by Roadside

Maryland State Police Sgt. Daniel McLain saved the life of a newborn girl, who arrived in the front seat of a young couple's Chevy Impala.

A Maryland trooper on his way to work in an unmarked cruiser saved the life of an infant that had turned blue after being born in the front seat of a Chevrolet Impala, reports the Baltimore Sun.

Maryland State Police Sgt. Daniel McLain noticed a man frantically rushing around the vehicle, grabbing blankets and sheets. Inside the car, his infant girl struggled to breathe, after the 25-year mother gave birth.

Sgt. McLain turned the baby over (face down) and began massaging the back and rubbing the feet. The sergeant cleared mucus from her nose and mouth, then turned the baby over again and repeated massaging.
