A Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife warden with 25 years of experance died Thursday night when his plane crashed on Clear Lake in remote Piscataquis County, reports the Bangor Daily News.

Daryl Gordon was flying a department-owned Cessna 185. He was located after a night-long search involving the Maine Forest Service, Maine State Police, the Houlton Air Branch of Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, and Civil Air Patrol.
