An off-duty Paterson (N.J.) PD police officer sprang from a barber's chair, when he saw a man pull a gun from his waistband on a city street, and confronted the man.
When the officer, who has not been named, confronted 21-year-old Jermaine Eason, he identified himself as an officer, showed his badge, and drew his weapon. The incident occurred at about 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, reports The Record.
The officer fired four rounds when the man drew the weapon. Eason was hit twice and is expected to fully recover. When he was later apprehended, a Co2 pellet gun, ski-type mask, and latex gloves were recovered.
