Sheriff's Dog Stabbed, Killed During Pursuit

Clark County (Wash.) Sheriff's Office dog, Kane, was attempting to apprehend 31-year-old Keegan Graves, who allegedly stabbed the black Dutch shepherd multiple times and kept running.

A Washington sheriff's dog was killed in the line of duty after he was stabbed numerous times by a suspect with an outstanding warrant.

Clark County (Wash.) Sheriff's Office dog, Kane, was attempting to apprehend 31-year-old Keegan Graves, who allegedly stabbed the black Dutch shepherd multiple times and kept running, reports Fox News.

Kane chased Graves after he rammed a police vehicle and took off running. Kane, who was trained to bite and hold, had worked for the Clark County Sheriff's Office for six years and was scheduled for retirement in 2012.
