The NYPD will launch a probe into memos at a Brooklyn stationhouse that appeared to set quotas for traffic summonses, Mayor Bloomberg said Monday.

The move comes after the New York Daily News reported that at least two notices posted at the 77th Precinct stationhouse spelled out the number of tickets needed in a specific time frame.

That's illegal under state law - and runs counter to the Police Department's public no-quotas stance.
