Wong Gets Life for N.C. Trooper Murder

After a jury deadlocked 6-6 on giving Edward Wong the death penalty, a judge stepped in and sentenced Wong to life without parole.

The man convicted of gunning down North Carolina Highway Patrolman David Blanton and continuing to fire as the trooper screamed for mercy was given life in prison, after a jury found him guilty of the crime.
