Less than 17 percent of the Indianapolis Metro PD's line officers say they have high morale and motivation to perform their jobs, according to a "climate survey" released by the officers' FOP Lodge #86.
The results of the climate survey reflect a growing rift with line officers and Public Safety Director Frank Straub and Chief Paul Ciesielski. The union has claimed Straub and Ciesielski are introducing reforms in the department without their consultation and have taken unduly harsh discipline against some officers accused of misconduct, reports the Indianapolis Star.
