New interrogation-room videos released this week show LAPD detectives questioning and arresting one of their own as a suspect in the 1986 murder of a woman who had married her ex-boyfriend.

New interrogation-room videos released this week show LAPD detectives questioning and arresting one of their own as a suspect in the 1986 murder of a woman who had married her ex-boyfriend.

Stephanie Lazarus, a former LAPD detective, is accused of killing Sherri Rasmussen, who married Lazarus' ex-boyfriend, John Ruetten. Detectives arrested Lazarus on June 5, 2009.

NBC's Los Angeles affiliate has posted two videos showing Robbery-Homicide detectives questioning their colleague, after using a ruse to bring her to the LAPD's jail facility. Det. Daniel Jaramillo told Lazarus he needed help interviewing an art-theft suspect.

In the first video, Det. Jaramillo questions Lazarus about her relationship with Ruetten and contact with Rasmussen.

In the second video, Lazarus is reluctant to provide a DNA sample and asks, "Do I need to get a lawyer?"
