Seattle Police Tweet Stolen Car Descriptions

The department began tweeting vehicle descriptions on Wednesday, beginning with a brown 1984 Toyota Camry sedan. Each tweet includes the warning, "Do not make contact. Call 911."

The Seattle Police Department has launched an additional Twitter account, called Get Your Car Back, to allow the department to disseminate information about stolen vehicles via the social media platform.

The department began tweeting vehicle descriptions on Wednesday, beginning with a brown 1984 Toyota Camry sedan. Each tweet includes the warning, "Do not make contact. Call 911."

The Seattle PD now has more than 7,000 followers of its primary Twitter account.
