Gunman Shot After Opening Fire During School Board Meeting

Prior to discharging his weapon, the shooter brandished a can of red spray paint and painted a V with a circle around it on a wall. He then brought out his weapon and began addressing the board meeting.

A man claiming to have a motion during today's Florida Panhandle school board meeting in Panama City was fatally shot after he opened fire from the podium. No board members were injured.

The gunman, identified as Clay A. Duke, was shot three times by the school system's head of security, Mike Jones. Duke then killed himself.

School board member Ginger Littleton attacked the gunman with her purse, but was shoved to the ground.
