Body Armor Saves Ohio Officer

Miguel Alsina Jr., 20, was arrested after an eight-hour search following the shooting.

Blaney was shot while investigating a suspicious vehicle in Ashtabula at noon Monday. Alsina reportedly fired several shots at the officer, who returned fire but didn't strike Alsina, who fled the scene. He was apprehended at 8:30 p.m. at a Millcreek hotel.

Alsina was wanted on three robberies and a shooting in Girard. He is also suspected of distributing heroin at a birthday party on Dec. 11.
