Criminals Increasingly Mutilate Fingers To Avoid Fingerprint ID

When Boston police officers arrested Jorge Falcon Ortiz with 361 grams of heroin stuffed in his pockets, they also noticed he had burned the tips of his fingers to obscure his fingerprints, ABC News reports.
