VF Imagewear recently relaunched Horace Small, a brand with a history of more than 70 years. Horace Small, formerly known as The Force, provides quality uniforms for law enforcement and first responders.

The Horace Small brand was founded in 1937. The company first sold uniforms to the military during World War II. Horace Small remained in the uniform business after the war when the company began selling public safety uniforms. VF Corp., acquired the Horace Small brand in 1999, and it was renamed The Force in 2005.

"The Horace Small name is synonymous with quality law enforcement and first responder uniforms," said Neal Waters, Vice President of Managed Programs and Public Safety. "By returning to the founding name we are able to build on our history in the industry, while continuing to evolve the brand."

Horace Small revolutionized the uniform business when he developed the concept of a stock uniform, allowing the public safety service industry to easily and affordably reflect the individual professional's sense of pride and tradition.

"We're still focusing on the same quality and innovation our customers have trusted since 1937," Waters said. "The Horace Small brand is committed to providing the very best uniforms with unmatched service to America's heroes."
