Reynolds & Associates has launched its firearm trade website, PoliceTrades.com, to provide public safety agencies with a variety of trade services and disposal options for unneeded firearms and ammunition.
Services include on-site stripping and destruction of duty, confiscated and surrendered weapons, as well as Class 3 disposition for parts value and destruction, or collector transfers.
PoliceTrades works with more than 80 public safety vendors and assists with trades at no cost to public safety agencies, according to the company. Payment from the highest bidder is made directly to the agency, or to the vendor of their choice, within 72 hours of receipt of the trade-in product.
Agencies that participate in the parts value and destruction program receive a certified document indicating that the firearms were destroyed in accordance with current BATF guidelines, according to PoliceTrades. Payment amounts range from $5 to $3,000, depending on the firearm make, model, caliber, action type, and overall condition.
