Smoking Woman Attacks Duluth Officer

A 37-year-old woman who was allegedly violating a new law banning smoking near bus shelters punched and threatened a female officer who approached her.

A 37-year-old woman who was allegedly violating a new law banning smoking near bus shelters punched and threatened a Duluth (Minn.) police officer who approached her, KDAL 610AM reports.

The woman struck the female officer in the face, then threatened her by swinging two knives in her direction. The woman then fled, but was later arrested in a nearby alley.
