Fifteen years after the bombing of the Murrah federal building by American militia sympathizers, the former Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper reflected on his arrest of Timothy McVeigh.

In an interview with the Stillwater NewsPress, Charlie Hanger recounts pulling over the yellow Mercury with a missing license plate. When Hanger asked the 26-year-old driver for ID, McVeigh produced a license but no bill of sale, even though he stated he had just purchased the vehicle.

Hanger then noticed a bulge in McVeigh's jacket, drew his weapon and asked McVeigh to put his arms in the air.
