Feds Located NY Bomb Suspect From Prepaid Cell Phone

Shahzad used the phone to call the Connecticut woman who sold him the vehicle using Craigslist. The phone had received four calls from Pakistan. One of the numbers led authorities to Shahzad.

Federal authorities located Faisal Shahzad, the man who allegedly attempted to detonate a car bomb in New York's Times Square, from a prepaid cell phone he used to purchase the 1993 Nissan Pathfinder he used, the New York Times reports.

Shahzad used the phone to call the Connecticut woman who sold him the vehicle using Craigslist. The phone had received four calls from Pakistan. One of the numbers led authorities to Shahzad, who has apparently admitted to attending bomb-making training while in Pakistan, authories say.
