L-3 Mobile-Vision Introduces Lower Cost In-Car Video System

Flashback2-Lite is designed for agencies that don't require wireless transfer and have a minimum of videos to store and manage.

L-3 Mobile-Vision has introduced a low-cost version of its Flashback2 in-car video system called Flashback2-Lite, according to the company.

The company is offering agencies a 60-day trial of the system that offers flash storage, hands-free operation, D1 image resolution and PC-based video management software.

Flashback2-Lite is designed for agencies that don't require wireless transfer and have a minimum of videos to store and manage.

It's tailored for agencies with up to five patrol cars to equip their officers with video-capture technology at an affordable price. Video is stored on a commercial-grade, removable CF card and is available from 8GB to 32GB, according to the company.

The system includes a solid-state digital video recorder, 3.5-inch monitor console, forward-facing Nite-watch camera, basic viewer video management software and VoiceLink Plus microphone.
