The Kanes, who allegedly killed two West Memphis PD officers and were later killed in a gun battle with officers in a Wal-Mart parking lot, traveled the country giving seminars on "mortgage fraud" and gave foreclosure advice.

When law enforcement officers pulled over the old, white Plymouth minivan with Jerry Kane, 45, and Joseph Kane, 16, they weren't aware of the extreme, anti-government views fostered by the father and son, the Commercial Appeal reports.

The Kanes, who allegedly killed two West Memphis PD officers and were later killed in a gun battle with officers in a Wal-Mart parking lot, traveled the country giving seminars on "mortgage fraud" and gave foreclosure advice.

The two posted a video (no longer available) on YouTube threatening an IRS agent, and posted rhetoric on a website about "microchips inserted into people's bodies, plots involving the H1N1 vaccine and the contention that U.S. dollars don't constitute real money."
