Suspected Detroit Cop Killer Stands Trial With Palm Print Evidence

The man who allegedly shot and killed Detroit police officer Brian Huff will stand trial on 17 charges stemming from the shootout with police outside a vacant drug house where he ambushed officers.

The man who allegedly shot and killed Detroit police officer Brian Huff will stand trial on 17 charges stemming from the shootout with police outside a vacant drug house where he ambushed officers, the Detroit News reports.

A judge today ordered Jason Gibson, 25, bound over for trial. Prosecutors said they have recovered the .45-caliber handgun believe to have been used to shoot the officer and a magazine with Gibson's palm print.
