Brooklyn cop killer Shu'aib Raheem won parole with the help of a prison official who testified there was only a "very, very slim" chance he would break the law if freed.
Superintendent Joseph Smith told the Parole Board that Raheem had been a "stable" prisoner during his time behind bars, according to a transcript obtained by the Daily News.
Raheem - who is expected to be released by July 8 - was convicted of murdering Officer Stephen Gilroy in a 1973 hostage siege at John and Al's Sports Goods in Williamsburg.
Smith acknowledged the grief and pain of Gilroy's family and the hostages held at the store for 47 hours.
But he said Raheem's time at Shawangunk Correctional Facility, working in the law library and the Youth Assistance Program, was well spent.
